As a former commercial fisherman I have great appreciation for what these people are bringing to the area. You have not really had scallops until you've had them fresh - not cleaned with chemicals and packaged with preservatives and pumped with water to add weight like in the grocery stores.
Many types of seafood are coming in from all over the world now with labels that say codfish for example, but it's not codfish. Trust me.
Stop wondering if you are really eating whats on the label and shop at Maine and Berry. The guy makes a fish run to Maine a couple of times a week.
Now all we need is a someone to start a decent bakery in this town!
